Determining the Level of Teachers' ICT Competence Through the Study of Preferred Information Educational Technologies and Electronic Tools
Abstract
Modern school actively integrates information and communication technologies (ICT) into the teaching process, which requires teachers to constantly improve their ICT competence. This competence is divided into three levels: basic, advanced and specialized. A high level of ICT competency promotes the effective use of technology, which in turn improves the quality of education. A study conducted in December 2023 assessed teachers' use of digital tools and educational platforms. Sixty-two highly qualified educators with more than 5 years of experience participated in the survey. Data were collected through an online survey and observation of open lessons. The results showed that the active use of ICT allows for the creation of interactive materials, which contributes to the individualization of learning and improvement of students' results. The effectiveness of teachers' professional performance is directly related to their ICT competence and intensity of technology use.
