Using Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education
Abstract
The article is devoted to the trends and possibilities of using artificial intelligence in the field of higher education. The article highlights the main AI technologies and tools, in which disciplines and directions artificial intelligence are used, who are the intended users of artificial intelligence technologies, and how the possibilities of using AI in higher education are expanding. The purpose of this study is to provide an up-to-date overview of how artificial intelligence is used in the context of higher education. The author also notes the difficulties of introducing AI tools into the educational process due to high costs and the limited number of AI technologies available for education. At the moment, there is also a lack of the necessary theoretical base and the required scientific literature that will help young researchers develop and successfully implement the ideas of artificial intelligence, including the GPT popular instrument. In recent years, the use of artificial intelligence in higher education has been growing at a faster pace, which is accompanied by the simultaneous proliferation of new available AI tools. AI technology is becoming more and more accessible to both teachers and students of higher and secondary educational institutions. This technology includes the use of artificial intelligence in the higher education system to adapt the educational process to the needs of different types of students, to provide prompt feedback to them, to conduct and develop assessment and forecasting of results on the assimilation of taught academic disciplines and academic performance. Quite often, AI assistant programs are used to evaluate, predict, and operate an intelligent tutoring system and manage student learning.
