Abstract

The article analyzes the emotional intelligence in individuals who have committed sexual socially dangerous acts (SDA). Recognition of emotions was studied using the author's methods both of facial expressions, taking into account age and gender, and of posture. The study of empathic characteristics and level of emotional intelligence was performed. The paper discusses features of emotional recognition in individuals with prosocial behavior and without disorders of sexual preferences and presents results of a comparative analysis of emotional recognition in individuals who have committed sexual SDA, with the relative norm. Individuals who have committed sexual SDA poorly recognize the negative emotions (anger, fear). Unimodal negative emotions were decoded better. Results indicate that when recognizing emotions of adult women the highest percentage of misinterpretations was in respect of the following emotions: fear, shame and love. These patterns of emotion recognition in individuals who have committed sexual SDA, allow us to make a number of proposals to improve preventive measures for the mentally ill at the time of compulsory treatment.
