Diagnostics of Professional Attitudes of Modern Adolescent Students
Abstract
The article presents the procedure for modifying the I.M. Kondakov questionnaire "Professional attitudes of adolescents", developed more than 35 years ago. The relevance of the research is determined by the task of creating psychodiagnostic tools appropriate to the modern conditions of growing up and self-determination of youth. Objective: modification of the questionnaire "Professional attitudes of teenagers" and its testing. Hypothesis: based on the results of a psychometric study of the data obtained using the original questionnaire, an assumption has been made about a change in the psychological content of the attitude of young people aged 16-22 to professional choice in the post-industrial economy. The sample of the study consisted of students of the tenth and eleventh grades of general education institutions and students of secondary vocational educational institutions of the cities of Moscow and Chelyabinsk: 413 people (M=16,9, SD=1,17, 57% girls) at the first stage and 362 people (M=16,9, SD=1,19, 56% girls) at the second stage. To solve the research problems, the following were used: the questionnaire "Professional attitudes of adolescents", the questionnaire "Activity in self-realization", the questionnaire "Emotional attitude to the future". Changes in the social situation of development caused by new technologies and the high mobility of the entire professional sphere have led to a narrowing of indicators of students' psychological readiness to choose their life path: the formation of a general optimistic, positive attitude towards the future, or expressed uncertainty and indecision in the correctness of this choice. At the same time, it was found that the leading age-related patterns of youth psychological development turned out to be resistant to global changes in the digital world and retained their motivational function associated with the transition to the next adult stage of life. The modified version of the questionnaire can be used both for research and diagnostic purposes to determine the psychological readiness of students for professional self-determination.
