The Personal Manifestations of Professional Deformation in Agents of Investigative Activity

Abstract

Specifics of professional activity of operatives have a significant impact on their personal characteristics and can lead to professional deformation. The consequence of this phenomenon can be such behavioral manifestations that lead to undesirable valuations by others and do not meet professional ethics. In the described study the features of the social perception of operational employees in the process of professional activity were reviewed and analyzed, as well as the specificity of the perception of persons with whom operational staff interacts during their professional activities, the results of staff self-evaluation of “real Self”, as well as diagnostics of indicators and forms of aggression was carried out. The "DMLO" method by T. Leary and diagnostics technique of indicators and forms of aggression A. Buss and A. Durkee were applied in the empirical study. The study involved 74 operational staff and 179 civilians.
