Abstract

The article describes a research devoted to identification of specifics of mutual perception of pupil of lyceum and general education classes. A hypothesis is made that the division of pupils into classes of different levels according to criteria of academic progress, social status of the family, etc. within one parallel (for example, lyceum and general education classes) facilitates the origination of enmity and antagonistic attitude of children from these groups towards each other. In the process of analysis of the results specific attention was paid to differences in perception and assessment by teachers of lyceum and general education classes, which, according to the authors, can be transmitted and can aggravate negative attitude of the classes towards each other. Disparities in value preferences of pupils of divided classes and significant differences in their structure are discussed. A conclusion is made that confrontation between pupils of lyceum and general education classes is the consequence of the mentioned division and differences in teachers’ attitudes towards them.
