Intercultural communication as the basis of intercultural competence

The article is devoted to the issue of intercultural communication, which becomes the basis of intercultural competence in connection with the active development of economic relations and the process of globalization. The importance of learning Russian as a foreign language by Chinese students is noted, the characteristic of intercultural competence as the basis of adequate intercultural communication is presented.
