Abstract

Information on 18th World Congress of International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP) that was held in Istanbul (Turkey), April 30 — May 5, 2008 is presented. Main directions of work are indicated (keynote plenary and sectional lectures on main topics, symposiums, workshops, conferences on medical cases analysis, video sessions, poster sessions, paper presentations). Shortly is presented main keynote lectures and work of Russian representatives on problems of child and adolescent mental health. General information on main directions of researches and scientific-applied work on saving mental health of young generation is presented. Attention is drawn to multidisciplinary approach in questions of prophylaxis and saving mental health of children and adolescents of different countries.
