Introduction of VR Technologies into the Professional Activity of a Criminalist Student

21

Abstract

This article reflects the results of the work presented at the Accelerator "Digitalization of Learning 2022", conducted by VR Concept. The idea of the project is mainly that VR technologies become a real way to recreate the event of an illegal act prohibited by the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The relevance of this project lies in the fact that students, by immersing themselves in virtual reality, will be able to better consolidate theoretical knowledge in the legal disciplines taught. In this regard, despite the fact that this project is more focused on students who plan to link their activities with criminology and, in general, with the law enforcement system, the universality of this project and the possibility of changing locations will allow it to be used in the study of other related disciplines. The fact that the simulator used when diving into virtuality will recreate a real criminal case, will help students decide on the correctness of choosing a future profession, will help to understand what difficulties law enforcement officers face in practice. Of course, with the subsequent employment of a student in the law enforcement system, such experience will have a positive impact on the results of his further professional activity.
