Functional integration of cognitive and personality structures as a prerequisite for effective professionalization of senior high school students

Abstract

We examine the relationship of intellectual and personal properties of senior high school students in their project activities, as well as the importance of this factor to predict the success of professionalization as a practical achievement in adolescent development. We present the study, conducted with the participation of 459 ten-form students from 19 schools in Moscow North-East Administrative District. We compare data by groups of students involved in project activities, and students not involved in this activity. The project activity of senior high school students is defined as the mediator of professionalization processes, integrating personal and intellectual property. We identified holistic patterns of personal and intellectual qualities typical for involvement in project activities. We emphasize that in the practice of schoolwork, to ensure adequate professionalization of senior high school students integrative assessment of psychometric indicators of academic and extracurricular achievements is necessary.
