Abstract

The article gives a brief retrospective analysis of educational psychology services development in Russia and the United States. The author points out three main stages of the development and draws a cross-cultural comparison between them. The author also argues that sociocultural factors have played a significant role in determining the specificity of educational psychology service development in Russia.
