Microdynamics of the Assessment of Individual Psychological Characteristics Based on Facial Expression

857

Abstract

The article presents the results of the experimental research of the assessment of individual-psychological features of a person based on his/her facial expression. It is shown that the connection between adequate assessment of individual-psychological characteristics of a person based on photographs of his face and time perception of the specified photographic image has a complex, nonlinear character and depends firstly on the specifics of those psychological traits that are evaluated by an observer, and secondly, on the time of exposure. An analysis of the dynamics of subjective difficulty in assessing of individual psychological characteristics of a person with an exposure of his face is conducted during different time intervals. It is shown that the difficulties in assessing individual psychological characteristics depend on the duration of perception of the estimated person.
