The problem of identity in patristic understanding

Abstract

Author examines approaches to self-consciousness and identity as parts of moral consciousness, based on the writings of the Fathers of the Church, as well as representatives of the Russian theological schools. The elements of consciousness are studied, its development is described and some theoretical companionship is done with the models of identity and self-consciousness in psychology and philosophy.
