Abstract

The paper describes and analyzes the methods of socialization of adolescents with mental retardation. Such a retardation is an acute actual problem due to similar features of the psycho-emotional sphere of this category of adolescents, and is exacerbated by the high prevalence of this developmental disorder. The prevention of deviant behavior through the correction of the psycho-emotional state of adolescents and the development of their ability for self-expression and self-knowledge through contact with art is considered. To achieve this goal, within the framework of the program “Beauty is inside me”, a set of game development and rehabilitation equipment “Mozartika” was used by the author-developer P.E. Russavskaya. The experience associated with using the purpose sets of game is also described in the article. In addition, a study of the results of the program implementation is presented. It allows us to conclude what conditions should be created for adolescents to live an emotionally positive experience, how to stimulate positively directed forms of their activity (creativity, independence in solving problems, restraining negative reactions, etc.), and, consequently, how to create conditions for prevention of deviant behavior in adolescents with mental retardation.
