The journal "Extreme Psychology and Personal Safety" invites authors to publish in a thematic issue on stressful professions

The editorial board of the journal "Extreme Psychology and Personal Safety" invites specialists to participate in the preparation of the thematic issue "Stressful Professions", scheduled for publication in September 2025.
The issue is devoted to an urgent problem of modern society – the search for theoretical foundations, resources, methods and technologies to ensure professional activity and health of representatives of stressful professions. Such professions include a wide range of specialties: firstly, these are professions whose representatives are eligible for early retirement (based on seniority or seniority), secondly, these are professions of special risk, thirdly, these are professions with established harmfulness, and a number of others. Within the framework of the issue, it is planned to study reviews of achievements of domestic and foreign psychology in a certain scientific field, analyze the results of applied and empirical studies of problems related to the identification of stressful factors of professions, the influence of difficult life and extreme situations on activities, and also propose methods for the prevention and correction of the effects of stressful factors on the personality of a specialist.
The issue also plans to present the results of the study "Factors of professional longevity of representatives of stressful professions", submitted to the Russian Science Foundation competition, project No. 25-18-00109.
The purpose of the issue is to provide scientific and practical support for the professional activities of representatives of stressful professions, starting from the period of professional education and including the category of working pensioners. The issue will present various approaches of domestic researchers to the study of the problems raised, an analysis of the specifics of using diagnostic tools, strategies and methods of providing targeted psychological assistance to specialists in stressful professions. The issue's thematic editor is Tatiana Nikolaevna Berezina.
The editorial board of the journal "Extreme Psychology and Personal Safety" invites all interested parties to take an active part in the preparation of the thematic issue and share the results of their research in this field. Materials must be provided with a note: for the thematic issue "Stressful professions".
The release date is September 30, 2025.
The manuscripts are accepted in both Russian and English languages. Recommended length of the article: up to 30 thousand characters (with spaces) of a Russian-language text with a list of references or an English-language text with References for foreign authors
