Readiness for Learning and Academic Motivation: Expect New Topics in the 2025 Issues of the Journal «Psychological Science and Education»

In 2025, the journal Psychological Science and Education of the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MSUPE) will publish several thematic issues.

The first issue (No. 1-2025) will focus on the adaptation readiness of modern youth to the academic environment of higher education institutions. The thematic scope of this issue will address comparative studies on the formation of mathematical concepts, the interrelationship between academic cyberlaughing and cyberbullying, the impact of the Unified State Examination on students' academic performance, and the educational preferences of youth. This issue is already finalised and will be available to readers after 28 February 2025.

The second issue (No. 2-2025) will explore psychological well-being and academic motivation in contemporary children. The issue will cover topics such as media multitasking as a means of personal adaptation to the digital everyday, burnout among high school students in the context of preparing for the Unified State Examination (EGE), artificial intelligence in school mathematics education, and the regulation of subjective experiences of danger in humour by younger schoolchildren. This issue is also finalised and will be available to readers after 30 April 2025.

We invite authors to submit their manuscripts for publication in Psychological Science and Education and remind them that the journal is published six times a year. The deadline for manuscript submissions for publication in 2025 is 1 October 2025.

The journal Psychological Science and Education is included in both Russian and international databases: the core of the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), WoS, Scopus, the White List, and is recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation for the following five specialities:

The journal's thematic focus, in accordance with the list of scientific specialities, is K1.

The manuscript length should not exceed 30,000 printed characters (including spaces but excluding the list of references).
