Organisational Culture in Reformed Bodies of Internal Affairs As Per-ceived By Citizens with Various Levels of Trust in the Police

Abstract

The paper reports the outcomes of an empirical study on how citizens with various levels of trust in the police perceive the future organisational culture in reformed bodies of internal affairs. According to the study outcomes, the society has not yet developed a positive image of the organisational culture of the reformed police. The image found in citizens with low levels of trust in the police lacked the values essential for this institution (stability in society, public safety etc.). The image found in citizens with medium levels of trust in the police was contradictory and combined both positive and negative characteristics. Citizens with high trust in the police demonstrated positive perceptions of the future organisational culture of the reformed law enforcement authorities.
