Scientific and Practical Recommendations on the Organization of Forensic Psychological Expert Evaluation of Multidirectional Aggression

Abstract

The study is devoted to the problem of theoretical research on psychological mechanisms of multidirectional aggression and their practical use in the expertise practice. In order to develop integrative forensic psychological criteria for determining the danger for own self and / or other individuals 38 adults accused of offenses against life and health of others and with a history of suicide attempts were examined. An algorithm of integrated clinical and forensic psychological evaluation of multidirectional aggression was proposed on the basis of clinical and psychological hermeneutic analysis of violations and suicide attempts together with the investigation of individual psychological characteristics of mentally healthy people and individuals with mental disorders, but still competent to stand trial. This algorithm includes clinical diagnostics, determination of personal symptom cluster of combined auto- and hetero-aggression and the psychological mechanism according to which the aggressive actions were unfolding, as well as taking into account the findings when making decisions about the public danger and the appointment of compulsory medical measures.
