As there was a need for professional public discussion concerning the outcomes of the stage-by-stage implementation of the professional standard for preschool and school teachers, an All-Russian Congress was held at the Moscow State University of Psychology & Education on November 10-13, 2015 for those who contributed to the approbation and implementation of the standard. Among the participants of the Congress were officials and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, regional and municipal education authorities, representatives of regional testing grounds, education workers, members of professional associations and unions.
During the four days of the Congress the following topics were discussed:
- Carrying out an expertise of methodological materials regulating the application of the professional standard in teacher training (higher and advanced education); in educational institutions (work contract, job responsibilities); in the system of professional certification of teachers.
- Developing recommendations for the implementation and further spreading of the professional standard for teachers.
- Exchanging experience that various regions of the Russian Federation have in implementing the professional standard.
