Psychological and Bodily Age of Teenagers and Youth with Real and Imaginary Problems of Appearance

Abstract

The article provides the results of the comparative analysis of the age and bodily identification, as well as psychological and physical age in modern teenagers with normal development and adolescents diagnosed dysmorphophobia. A comparative analysis is provided of the age identification of normative adolescents, adolescents with dysmorphophobia and adolescents with operated and non-operated cleft of soft and hard palate (40 people aged 15 to 18 years: 21 boys and 19 girls (normative group); 6 person aged 17 to 19 years: 4 boys and 2 girls (clinical group); 6 teenagers aged 15 to 17 years with congenital cleft of the soft and hard palate: 3 boys and 3 girls (“special” group).
