7856

Abstract

The study of emotional regulation is being conducted in psychology for a bit more than 20 years. Over the last years there appeared several domains in the frameworks of which the separate aspects of this problem were being elaborated. Nevertheless a common view on the character, the nature and the developmental flow of this phenomenon is missing. The article regards the existing viewpoints concerning the definition of functions and components of emotional regulation. The review of this kind made it possible to single out some aspects of emotional behavior regulation which are accepted by all the researchers. It allows tracing the ways of further elaboration of this problem.
