We live in a very difficult time, called the era of post-modernism. This is the time when the question of reality becomes more and more hot. Article by M.M. Elfimova, opening our journal’s  new issue of, reflects  this question’s severity in many ways. The author asks what we will mean by the family myth and does it have any connection with reality, or is it just one of the possible narratives, which we can easy (or not very easy) replace with another that suits us better. Many of our readers, for sure, and personally, and professionally, this article will be affected  by this article, where the author analyzes different approaches to the family myth. The article raises hot methodological questions, so we place it in the appropriate rubric. "Theory and Methodology". We invite everyone to the discussion and we are specially prepared to open this section in the next issue.
