Abstract

The article describes original method of revealing structures of concepts that were formed in pupils as the result of learning certain school subjects. The authors assume that a teacher communicates the contents of scientific concepts alongside with their interrelations. This statement was used to formulate the task for revealing these structures and comparing them. The research made it possible to outline and assess structuredness of individual systems of concepts in each pupil. Thus it became evident that the extent of compliance of a pupil’s system of concepts with a teacher’s one cannot be considered the main factor of educational achievement assessment. The diagnostics results are easily read as a table or a graph and can be used for individualization of education as well as for assessment of the mastering a certain study topic with the whole class.
