Ensuring the Psychological and Pedagogical Competence of Parents on the Development, Upbringing, Education and Socialization of Children (on the Example of Educational Organizations of the Samara Region)

Abstract

The article presents the main results of the participation in 2021 of the Regional Sociopsychological Center in the project “Providing services of psychological, pedagogical, methodological and advisory assistance to parents (legal representatives) of children, as well as citizens who wish to take in their families children left behind without parental care”. The project was carried out on the basis of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education MSUPE within the framework of the federal project “Modern School” of the national project “Education”. The materials confirming the demand for consulting assistance to parents on the development, upbringing, education and socialization of children are considered. The main participants of the project were educational psychologists, as well as recipients of counseling services — women and men aged 20 to 45, raising minor children. Counseling was carried out in various forms: face-to-face meetings, telephone conversations and online counseling. The results obtained make it possible to say that, on the one hand, there is a high interest of citizens of our country in receiving psychological, pedagogical, methodological and consulting assistance, and on the other hand, psychological counseling provides a wide range of opportunities for the professional development of specialists.
