Comparative analysis of communicative competence of the officers of the patrol-guard service and private security

Abstract

The contribution analyzes the problem of communicative competence of the officers of law-enforcement authorities, typical characteristics of the process of communication of specialists of legal sphere within the framework of professional activity. The communicative competence is viewed as one of the key competences of the officers of law-enforcement authorities, providing the existence of skills of qualified solution of professional tasks. The authors present a comparative analysis of communicative characteristics of the officers of the patrol-guard service and law-enforcement authoritites. The research used the following methods: the method on evaluation of self-control in communication (M.Snyder); the method of identification of conflict behavior strategy (K.Thomas)l test of the communicativeness level (V.F.Ryakhovskiy). Basing on the conclusions of the research the authors created a program of communication training, designed for the officers of law-enforcement authorities, aimed at improvement of the level of communicative competence, which facilitates the stimulation of social development and personal growth.
