Correlation of social anhedonia and social anxiety with difficulties in mentalization orphans

Abstract

The purpose described in Article pilot study — determine the level of capacity for mentalization, social anxiety, social anhedonia in orphaned children. Were examined two groups of adolescents: 20 teenage orphans, orphans (10 boys and 10 girls; mean age — 14.6 years) and 18 adolescents living in families (12 boys and girls aged 6, mean age — 14 years ). According to the survey, you can draw preliminary con clusions: 1) teenage orphans are often mistaken in identifying and determining the status of another person that can speak about the shortage of capacity for mental ization; 2) the level of social anxiety in adolescents without parents is higher than that of their peers from families; 3) The rate of social anhedonia in adolescents orphaned by 1.5 times higher than in adolescents from families; 4) There were sig nificant inverse correlations ability to mentalization and indicators of social anhe donia and social anxiety. It is necessary to consider the data to practical psycholog ical work with adolescents from orphanages.
