The Dynamics of Creative Thinking Development in the Ontogenesis

Abstract

The developmental dynamics of the creative (or productive) thinking were studied. The overall level of development of creative thinking was evaluated based on the task's solution type found by the participant. Participants — children from early childhood age through adolescence (more than 200 people) and 50 adults were administered a sequence of tasks «for consideration», ordered by level of complexity of their solutions. The results indicate that starting from the preschool age there is an overall increase in creative productivity, which has a curve with saturation. The levels of creative thinking development were shown in the study and the corresponding types of tasks were identified.
